Why take square photos?
Most smartphones give you the option of shooting photos in a variety of formats. We typically shoot our photos in 4:3 ratio and that is the default format of most phones.
Have you ever tried taking square photos? They give an interesting feeling of symmetry and even a vintage look.
You can always crop your photos into a square format, but it’s always best to compose and shoot your image in the square option offered on your phone’s features.
Instagram posts square photos and will crop your photo to fit their format. So, if you’re shooting for Instagram switch your phone photo format to square .
